teamgive Lamborghini

Yes you need this car.   We know you do.   But teamgive, and all those suffering from rare neurological diseases, need you more.

At teamgive we are dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging all to get out and volunteer.  We are pleased to announce the 2010 teamgive Essay Contest! Your topic:

“What does ‘give‘ mean to me?”

Show us what giving means to you, in writing or in a video.  Convince us you deserve to go from
“Joe Schmoe to Lambo” in this amazing piece of Italian engineering by showing others how important, rewarding, fun, necessary, healthy, spiritual, uplifting, or satisfying GIVING of your time, resources, skills, and talents is.  Blow the judges away with your powerful, unique perspective, and you’ll be blowing the doors off everything else on the road.

Your reward for the winning essay or video is one of ten Lambo keys.   One of those ten awarded keys will open the door and start this Lamborghini.   If you are the luckiest one of those ten winners, you drive it home — and everywhere else.

Contestants are asked to limit essays to five pages. Video entries are welcome for those with video editing skills. Enter below!  All entries must be emailed or postmarked by September 18, 2010.

About teamgive

teamgive is an organization of successful professionals with a shared passion for cycling and sports, for service to their community, and for excellence in all we do.  teamgive combines its members’ active lifestyles, professional abilities and backgrounds with a desire to support research for treatment and cures of rare neurological diseases.  We do this through participation, sponsorship, and organization of community and corporate-sponsored charitable cycling and similar athletic events.

teamgive is committed to enhancing the lives of others through creating opportunities for community and charitable involvement while participating in the exciting sport of cycling and related athletic events.

Increase awareness of, and raise funds for, research, treatment, and support of those suffering neurological disease, including Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) and similar debilitating diseases.

Participate in, support, and execute highly visible community sporting events that promote and inspire personal participation and corporate citizenship

Provide opportunities for cycling enthusiasts, amateur athletes, and any individual to enjoy their chosen sports while contributing to meaningful charitable causes

teamgive’s approach to participation and event execution is built around a culture of professionalism and excellence in every aspect of its operations.  It starts with our directors and advisors, and extends to every teamgive member.

teamgive Membership

We seek individuals who are successful in their chosen fields, and ask them to do more than just participate in team events.  teamgive members proactively contribute their time, talents, skills, and effort to serve others directly and through teamgive operations.

teamgive participates in, sponsors, and organizes cycling and sports events.  We do this in a more highly visible, organized, professional manner than typically found at such venues.

teamgive’s operating model assures that 100 percent of funds raised and cash donations to flow directly to the medical research we support.  teamgive administrative costs are covered by the endowment of a primary operating sponsor, freeing all other donations to support fundraising activities and direct donations with no overhead costs.  All donations of whatever type are of course tax deductible.

When teamgive participates, we brings our members in full gear, its support crew, and its vehicles.  All feature teamgive colors, logos, and sponsor images.  teamgive support vehicles are wrapped with teamgive graphics to make the vehicles easy to spot for team members, and to provide recognition for teamgive donors and charities.

In sponsoring events, teamgive provides a range of logistical support, volunteers, and donated materials, as well as awards and prizes.  In events where teamgive is a sponsor, teamgive will usually field a team of its members to participate in the event as well. teamgive donors and charities benefit from teamgive visibility and organized contributions to the success of the selected event.

When teamgive organizes an event we take responsibility for planning, logistics, and execution.  As with participant and sponsored events, teamgive donors and charities will be highly visible.  At teamgive organized events, sponsors and members will have increased opportunities for volunteer work and contributions.
